The Campus Community Connect event is our way of opening the doors of our university to the local community. We invite you to join us on campus to meet our staff and students and tour our world-class facilities!

Keynote address
What is AI Anyway?
Dr. Peter Lewis, Associate Profess and Canada Research Chair, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences

Dr. Peter Lewis holds a Canada Research Chair in 'Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence', at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ University, where he is an Associate Professor and leads the Trustworthy AI Lab. His research advances aspects of trust, self-awareness, and social intelligence in AI systems. Drawing on extensive experience applying AI commercially, he is interested in where AI meets society, and how that relationship can work well. He holds leadership roles in various international research communities, including being Associate Editor of IEEE Technology & Society Magazine.

Tours and Research
Tour our world class facilities including the wind-tunnel, science and engineering laboratories. You can also take part in a research opportunity focused on making communities more age-friendly.

We will provide a light lunch and some outdoor games for entertainment!
